Revised 21 August 2026
This Memorandum of Understanding (Insights for Test Environment) is entered into by and between MasterControl Solutions, Inc. (“MasterControl”) and the company referenced on the signature page hereto (referred to herein as “Customer”).
Customer has elected to utilize the Insights for test environment feature (“Insights for Test”) provided by MasterControl. The terms of Customer’s existing contract with MasterControl (“Terms of Service”) remain in force and are incorporated by reference and will control for any provisions not addressed in this Agreement.
Customer acknowledges and agrees that Insights for Test is only available to MasterControl customers who have a Data Intelligence SKU subscription; accordingly, at any time Customer ceases to pay for the Data Intelligence SKU (which includes Premium Insights), Insights for Test will cease to be available to Customer.
MasterControl will provide Customer with the following services related to Insights for Test:
1.1 Data in Customer’s AQEM and Production Records Test instance will flow into Insights for Test by default. Only the modules of AQEM and Production Records are considered in scope in this agreement.
1.2 Out-of-the-box (OOTB) dashboards for AQEM and Production Records will be provided as part of Insights for Test.
1.3 User populated management will be administered in the same manner as the production environment but within the Test instance interface. Customer will need to manually assign users in the Test instance.
1.4 Access to Insights for Test will be provided via the main portal tile Insights button in the Test instance.
1.5 Other modules, beyond AQEM and Production Records, will not be available in the Test instance, or will appear blank in the test environment.
Customer acknowledges and agrees to the following limitations and restrictions regarding the Insights for Test environment:
2.1 No Database Copies: Although there is functionality for copying a production environment down to the test environment, MasterControl will not perform any such data copydown for Customers who are utilizing Insights for Test. This is due to the potential for data confusion, data accuracy concerns and the probability of introducing downstream data connector issues.
2.2 No Migration Capabilities: Migration of dashboards from Insights for Test to a Production instance is not supported.
2.3 Dashboard Visibility: Custom dashboards created by users in Insights Production will not be visible in the Test instance.
2.4 Email Functionality: Email functionality, including report scheduling and pulse notifications, is not available in Insights for Test.
2.5 Data Model Consistency: The Insights for Test data model will mirror the Production instance design; consequently, any new data columns implemented in either AQEM or Production Records will not appear in Insights for Test until they are incorporated into the Insights Production instance on the regular monthly release schedule. Customer will not be able to test anything in advance of the production data model being updated.
2.6 Access Restrictions: System administrator accounts (sysadmin) should not be used to access Insights. Proper rights and roles must be followed.
2.7 Test Data: Test instance does not have default dummy data; accordingly, it is Customer’s responsibility to create any needed test quality event or production record data in their test environment databases.
2.8 Browser Usage: When interacting with both Insights in Production and Insights in Test instances at the same time, it is recommended to use two different browser software applications or use only one instance at a time.
