This Cookie Notice ("Notice") explains how MasterControl Solutions, Inc. (“MasterControl”, "we", "us", and "ours") use cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit our websites (such as https://www.mastercontrol.com), online advertisements or marketing communications (collectively for the purposes of this Notice, the "Websites"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

What Are Cookies?

Why Do We Use Cookies?

Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Websites to operate, and we refer to these as "strictly necessary" cookies. What Type of Cookies do you Use?

We Use Session Variables

Some sections of our website require your information to be stored in what is known as a session variable. Session variables are specific to each site visitor and are used to store user-specific information that needs to be accessed by multiple pages in a web application. They exist only for the length of your visit and while your application is active (or in the case of our client login, until you log out).

What About Other Tracking Technologies, Like Web Beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognise or track users of our Websites. We may use other similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs") to track users of our Websites. These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enables us to recognise when someone has interacted with our Websites, such as opening an e-mail that we have sent them. Do You Use Flash Cookies Or Local Shared Objects?

Our Websites may also use so-called "Flash Cookies" (also known as "Local Shared Objects" or "LSOs") to, collect and store information about your use, to prevent fraud and for other Website operations.

Do We Perform Targeted Advertising?

MasterControl tracks and analyses both individualized usage and volume statistical information related to your use of our Websites. We also partner with third parties (such as advertisers and ad networks) to display advertising on our Websites and/or to manage and serve advertising on other third-party websites.

These third parties use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags and similar tracking technologies to collect and use certain information about your online activities on our Websites and/or other third-party Websites and services. This information may be used alone or in combination with information about you we obtain from other sources (like our data partners) and contact details, professional information and MasterControl transaction history to infer your interests and deliver you targeted advertisements and marketing that are more tailored to you based on your browsing activities and inferred interests ("Interest Based Advertising"). Such Interest Based Advertising will only be delivered where permitted by applicable law and in accordance with your advertising / marketing preferences.

Our third-party service providers may also use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your visits to our Websites and/or other third-party Websites to measure and track the effectiveness of advertisements and our online marketing activities (for example, by collecting data on how many times you click on one of our advertisements).

How Can I Control Cookies?
