MasterControl Selects Iperion and SPEC Control as International Resellers

SALT LAKE CITY – July 3, 2006 – MasterControl Inc. today announced that it has selected Iperion of the Netherlands and SPEC Control and Automation of Israel as international distributors of the MasterControl™ integrated quality management suite. The two companies were chosen for their expertise and experience in regulated industries.

"MasterControl has enjoyed vast growth in the FDA-regulated sector within the North American market. International resellers allow us to expand that growth abroad," said Greg Beeber, MasterControl's vice president, global alliances. "The ability to leverage existing expertise is paramount to our current and future success."

MasterControl launched a reseller program last year, and Smarttech Consulting Services Ltd. of Cotswolds, U.K., became its first international reseller.

Iperion, based in Vlijmen, the Netherlands, is an international consulting firm specializing in quality management and validation services. Experience in quality assurance and regulatory affairs paired with know-how in the field of document management, ICT, and process management form the basis behind Iperion's success. Iperion helps companies align software applications, regulatory requirements, and organizational structures to ensure that their quality management systems are compliant, integrated, and efficient. It serves companies in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and high-tech industries.

"Iperion's focus on quality processes in regulated industries is strategic for us," said Beeber. "Iperion and MasterControl have a tremendous amount of synergy."

Karel Bastiaanssen, Iperion's managing director, said there is a growing demand for integrated quality management tools in Europe. "With MasterControl we are well positioned to fulfill the customer needs in this area," he said.

SPEC Control and Automation, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, specializes in marketing software tools for the process automation industry, which includes food, chemical, dairy, brewery, pharmaceutical, and other companies with industrial process operations.

"Israel is a market ripe for MasterControl technology. We're confident about SPEC Control's ability to cultivate many new relationships on our behalf," said Beeber.

The MasterControl quality management suite is a configurable, easy-to-use, and off-the-shelf software solution that helps companies attain and sustain compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and other regulatory requirements. MasterControl automates and effectively manages document and change control, training, audits, corrective/preventive action (CAPA), customer complaints, and other quality processes. It connects different departments with each other and with data and processes under a secure, centralized Web-based system.

MasterControl offers comprehensive product training and a continuum of validation products and services designed to cut the time and cost involved in validating a system, reduce risks of project implementation, and make it easier to validate software upgrades.
