You’ve Lost Your Electronic File Path (EFP): Were You Prepared?

November 27, 2013

The 2013 Masters Summit user conference presented a session that tackles backup and recovery of your data systems and solutions after a power outage. MasterControl’s Travis Ruiz and Mike Armstrong share best practices on how to properly prepare and manage a backup and recovery plan of your systems to protect against a business critical system outage.

Best practices include determining which systems need to be backed up and establishing recovery objectives. Company IT staff should configure appropriate retention policies and test and verify backup systems. At a bare minimum, backups should be performed nightly. In the MasterControl Portal, the Integrity Checker tool can help you compare your EFP to the database to ensure integrity of your data.
