There is one thing that every device manufacturer knows: it can be very difficult to effectively manage and support suppliers.

According to FDANews1 however, the process of managing and supporting suppliers has just become a lot simpler! With the FDA's new device inspection database, device manufacturers can access information regarding device inspections, access warning letters, look up device types and learn more about specific manufacturing facilities. (Information has been stored from 2008 to the present time). Device manufacturers (and anyone else for that matter) can access the information in the device database and can perform searches using company name, medical specialty, inspection type and country information.
