Did You Know?

Did you know that adhering to ISO standards can increase a company's overall sense of confidence?

It's no secret that adhering to ISO standards can help companies save money when economic times get tough but what is it about ISO standards that really makes the difference? Less waste? More consistent progress? Less time spent on quality administration? Or is it simply the confidence that ISO standards instill in employees by making processes and systems understandable at a deeper level?

The fact is that all of the reasons mentioned above are significant enough for companies to really make the solid investment that ISO standards represent. In a recent article from the ISO Focus Magazine, ISO treasurer Julien Pitton states that "Not only do organizations who implement voluntary standards benefit from enhanced efficiency, reduced costs, technological know-how and improved market access, but internationally recognized standards also constitute a proactive commitment, appreciated by customers, to promote quality, transparency and accountability, and thus help organizations to generate and restore confidence."1
